From beginner to divemaster, through to diving instructor, here at Taffs Diving we offer the complete menu. We are a PADI PIRA centre, BSAC resort association, SDI/TDI facility and are affiliated with DAN, DSAT and MFA.

Great for those who want to have a go at scuba diving, but are not sure if it’s for them. Pool session which helps you get used to the water and equipment.

Advanced Open Water Diver Course

According to agency, Advanced Open Water can be taken once you have completed the open water course and completed the required amount of logged dives. It allows you to further develop and master what you already learnt and also learn more skills.

The programme will last a minimum of 2 days and includes 5 speciality dives, 2 of which are compulsory - deep dive & navigation dive. The remaining 3 can be chosen by the candidate.

You must be an Open Water Diver, minimum of 15 years of age, and have a logged dive in the last six months.

Open Water Scuba Diver Certification Course

The first real step in taking up diving, it's called open water because once you’re certified you can dive in open water such as lakes, seas and oceans.

The course teaches you the very basics of diving.

  • You will have 5 knowledge reviews
  • Learn the fundamentals of scuba diving
  • Undertake 5 pool dives
  • 4 open water dives

The programme is performance based, you can work at a pace that is comfortable to you. You need to be in good health, reasonably fit, and older than 14 years of age. The completion of this course results in an internationally-accepted entry level qualification.
