The currency of Morocco is the Morocco Dirham (DH) . It is divided into 100 centimes. The Dirham is a closed currency so you will not be able to purchase any before you travel. The exchange rate is controlled by the central bank, and you are able to change money in banks, bureaux de change and hotels.
There is usually an 11 dirham charge for cashing travellers cheques. Many hotels support credit cards and ATM's are widely available. CURRENCY

Due to the extreme heat during the summer months, it is recommended that you keep plenty of water on your person and stay hydrated. Though most of the tap water in Morocco is safe to drink, due to its high mineral content which can cause an upset stomach, it is recommended to purchase bottled mineral water.
CLIMATE AND HEALTH
No compulsory vaccinations are required but Hepatitis A, Typhoid, Hepatitis B, and Tetanus are recommended. All travellers should visit their personal physician or a travel health clinic 4-8 weeks before departure.
